Sudbury Catholic Students "Sizzle" at the Board-Wide Science Fair
March 9, 2010 - On Tuesday, March 9, 2010 SCDSB students who made it to the board level Science Fair gathered in the St. Francis gym to display their science fair projects. Representing their schools, the Intermediate students waited for judging to commence with the hopes of being selected to move on to the Regional Science Fair on April 10 at Laurentian University.

St. Anne's Parent Going Above and Beyond to Support School Community
March 9, 2010 - At all of the schools at the Sudbury Catholic District School Board, one can find many parents who go that extra mile to ensure that the students and staff have all that they need for great, fun, safe school days. One such parent that fits this bill is Todd Connors. Connors is a parent of a grade 8 student at St. Anne Catholic Elementary School in Hanmer and is the Regional Operations Manager of Perkins Restaurants.

March 4, 2010 - Four students from St. Mary Catholic Elementary School visited Tom Davies Square on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 to enter their bridges in the fourteenth annual Bridge Building Competition. Cody Brown (Grade 6 ) and Davey Meeks (Grade 5) and Cassidy Fortin (Grade 6) and Carli Meeks (Grade 6) entered the competition as partners to put their bridges to the test.

March 3, 2010 - Over the years, many of the staff at the Sudbury Catholic District School Board have had the opportunity to meet Verna Hardwick. Hardwick has been a Native Language teacher with the board for 17 years and often travels from school to school with her students singing in her native language of Ojibwe. A quiet, reserved woman, she often surprises people when she begins to sing.

March 2, 2010 - Over the last several weeks, the participants of the brand new Business Program at St. Albert Adult Learning Centre have been working hard to identify and refine both their verbal and non-verbal communication skills. In order to demonstrate their new understanding of the subtle differences in non-verbal communication, each group created and videotaped two different mock interview scenarios.
